What if I don’t use one of the listed accounting packages?
We’ll ask you to upload your latest accounts in a universal format, for example PDF.
Why do you need my financial information?
To help us carry out an in-depth review of your insurance needs and explore more accurate quotes with insurers
How does CAPTURE/ access my data?
We access your data using the official Application Programming Interface (API) of your accounting system. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be prompted by your provider to share access with us. You control this access and we never see your login credentials.
Once I connect, do I need to do anything else?
Once you connect your accounting system, we’ll be able to see any updates so you won’t need to keep sending us updated information. The only time you’ll to reconnect is if your username or password changes.
How safe is my data?
Codat has strict protocols in place. Your data is held to the highest level of bank grade data security. It is encrypted end-to-end and can only be viewed by our growth and broker teams.
The system used to connect to your financial software has passed the requisite penetration tests and is ISO27001 compliant.

Who at Capsule will have access to my information?
Your information will be reviewed by our growth and broker teams as part of the quotation process.
Will you share my information with any third parties?
CAPTURE/ is powered by Codat – you can read their data protocols here.
If we would like to share your information with an insurer to discuss a quote, we will ask your permission first.
How do I revoke access?
There are two ways to revoke this access to your data:
Login to your accountancy package and withdraw your consent.
Email hello@capsulecover.com and we will revoke your consent from our side.
