We’re excited to announce that Capsule co-founder and COO Liam Green has been awarded the 2023 Oliver Rose BIBA Young Broker of the Year award from the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA).
Recognising rising stars
The BIBA Awards are the largest of their kind, with 24 categories spanning all areas of our sector – from general insurance right through to brokers and underwriters. This year, the Royal Albert Hall set the stage for the prestigious ceremony.
Specifically, the BIBA Young Broker of the Year award recognises brokers aged 35 and under for their exceptional performance and contribution to broking – with the aim of fostering an ongoing commitment to the advancement of the insurance industry.
Inspiring the future
The award was renamed to commemorate Oliver Rose, the 2016 winner who sadly passed away in March this year. It was presented to Liam by Oliver’s mother, Helen Rose.
BIBA Chief Executive Steve White said, “Liam has an excellent attitude and a great work ethic, which is evident in his own words: ‘any ability I lack, I make up for in effort’. However, we saw that Liam definitely has the ability, and it will be exciting to see him and his company grow over the coming years. Liam will no doubt be one of our next-generation leaders.”
The best is yet to come
When asked about his win, Liam said, “I’m deeply honoured to receive such personal recognition for my contribution to the insurance industry. This award serves as a powerful affirmation of my unwavering commitment to carving out a new landscape in this space, and I intend to use it as a stepping stone towards making a lasting impact alongside my fellow Capsulites.”
